Lunge in Quatra Under the Arm (Plate 53)

Commentary

Jonathan Allen

When you perform this action, cross their sword from inside to outside and allow the weight of your sword to push theirs down. Once you have an opening under their sword arm, weave the point in for a thrust. This action is performed entirely in Quarta.

This works especially well against someone who keeps their hand too low, more so if they have poor structure.

If their hand is high, lunge in Secunda under their sword as per illustration 10.
